Rosario Torres

Rosario Torres has a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Valencia, and a degree in Biological Sciences from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. She is a researcher in the IRTA Postharvest Program, located at the Fruitcentre in Lleida, and belongs to the Postharvest Pathology group. His main areas of research are the development of strategies for the control of pre- and post-harvest fruit diseases, the study of fruit-pathogen interactions, as well as the development of molecular techniques to identify and quantify fungal pathogens and biocontrol agents. He has participated in different state (CICYT, INIA, PETRI, CYTED ...) and regional (XaRTA) research projects, as well as the EU Framework Program. She is the author or co-author of 96 articles in journals of international impact and indexed in the SCI, has an index h = 25, has participated in the preparation of 15 book chapters, and has published 35 popular articles. He has presented 5 papers and more than 140 papers at both national and international conferences in the field of Postharvest Fruit Pathology. He has been a lecturer in the Master's in Management and Innovation in the Food Industry at the University of Lleida and in the International Course in Technology and Post-harvest Fruit Management since its inception.
