In the 15th Walnut Day, we want to open a space for debate regarding the complicated moment in the walnut producing sector. The drop in sales price is compounded by an increasingly demanding market and strong and unfair imports. It will be discussed how to help the walnut with basic management tools in the face of climatic adversity, environmental requirements and commercial strategies to help the product's valorization. A debate will also be promoted on the assessment of the quality of the walnut as a sales strategy, and attendees will be invited to give their opinion on consumer preferences. The varieties that are currently being registered in Europe will be presented and there will be a round table to collect opinions from different parts of the sector and ideas and strategies to promote the recognition and commercialization of our home walnut.
