39th Fruit Festival 2024

About the activity

There are many challenges and responsibilities that fall squarely on the farmer and the way he produces food. For example, how to integrate sustainability at all levels of the farm: environmental, social and economic. This day aims to be a meeting point to face the challenges together, and to give tools to move towards a more efficient and sustainable apple production system.

Aspects of plant material, varieties and rootstocks will be discussed with guest expert Stefano Musacchi. Also the clearing, the harvest, the royal heron and the management of fungicidal treatments. Part of the information that will be presented is the result of the INIA project "VUMOC" PID2019-109686RR-100, of the demonstration activity "DEMO FRUITSCAN" and of the Operational Groups SKABKILL and PICKBEST (Operación 16.01.01 of Cooperación por la Innovación del Rural Development Program of Catalonia 2014-2022).
