Alimentaria FoodTech (September 26-29, 2023 - Fira Barcelona Gran Via) returns after a five-year hiatus to update its offer of automation, digitization, sustainability and security solutions for industrialists and distributors in the sector. For this edition, the fair is betting on emerging companies, which is why it is adding an interesting novelty to the show: the organization of an area dedicated to technological innovation, called "FoodTech Innovarena". This new area includes a presentation stage, as well as the "Startups Area", the aim of which is to facilitate meetings between industrialists, startups and researchers.
The organization of FoodTech Innovarena's Startups Area was entrusted to IRTA, so we took the reins to encourage professional visitors to schedule opportunities to meet relevant companies, startups and researchers.
In the Innovarena-Startups Area stage, more specifically, the following have been scheduled:
• Public presentation of CIPA and the first results of X_AgriTech
• 2 presentations with AMEC: Alternative Protein on the 27th and Transformed meat on the 28th of September
• 20 cases of innovation in a dialogue format between companies, startups and researchers.
• 30 pitches from startups (and advanced TRLs) on operational cost savings solutions in agro-food industries, on September 28.
From IRTA we hope to contribute in this way to generating positive impacts on productive efficiency, safety, sustainability and, of course, the business of the agri-food industries.
