Liquid feeding has been argued to have advantages in growth, the use of nutrients and the health of the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, liquid pig feeding is usually associated with the use of local by-products, which usually contributes favorably to the sustainability and reduction of the farm's environmental impact. In relation to caudophagia, experiences in other countries where the use of feeding is more frequent and which do not practice scuado, such as Finland, indicate that the fact that pigs can eat simultaneously could prevent caudophagia. On this day, the results of a Demonstration Activity carried out at the Montbrí Livestock that uses liquid feed, and in which new environmental enrichment has been experimented with to prevent caudophagy in pigs, will be presented. The latest advances in pig liquid feeding will also be presented. This activity belongs to This day is part of the demonstration activity "MONTBRIDEMO.", operation 01.02.01 (technology transfer) of the PDR of Catalonia 2014-2022.
