Halyomorpha halys: current situation and balance

About the activity

Halyomorpha halys (Stål), commonly known as marbled brown bernat, has been completely installed both in the urban environment, in the agricultural environment and in the natural environment of the four Catalan provinces, due to its extreme polyphagia, among other characteristics.

This conference will explain the results of studies being carried out in Catalonia on different methods to control it.

In Italy, for some years now, the marbled brown bernat has caused a great deal of economic damage to crops, so many actions are being taken to manage its populations. For this reason, we have invited Italian colleagues from one of the most affected areas, Emilia-Romagna, to explain the actions they are implementing to control it as well as the aid offered to the productive sector.
