Biogas production models within the livestock sector: energy production, environmental and territorial impact

About the activity

Good management of livestock manure and its storage and treatment is key to the sustainability of livestock farms and reduce their environmental impact. Manure has great potential in the production of energy through biogas, but this production can be greater or lesser, or have a greater or lesser impact at the territorial level depending on the strategy to be adopted.
On the other hand, in the new paradigm of the Bioeconomy, recovery of nutrients in the form of by-products with fertilizing value and quality, is another key element to consider.
This day aims to discuss the different options in the biogas production taking into account both its productive potential and the reduction of the environmental and territorial impact, as well as the management of
by-products obtained.
