Dra. Neus Teixidó i Espasa: Agricultural Engineer from the University of Lleida (1997), with Mention of European Doctorate and Extraordinary Doctoral Award of the UdL 1997/1998. Since 1998 she has been working as a researcher in the IRTA Post-Harvesting Program, located at the Fruitcentre in Lleida. Her main areas of research are in Post-Harvest Pathology and focus on the development of strategies for the control of post-harvest fruit diseases, especially biological control. He specializes in the production and formulation of biocontrol agents. He also works on the study of fruit-pathogen interactions. She is currently the Head of the Post-Harvest Program and the coordinator of Fruit.Net, the Plant Health Program in order to optimize the use of pesticides and reduce waste in the fruit of Catalonia. She has participated in more than 50 European, state and regional research projects, as a coordinator or researcher, and in more than 50 contracts. She has 4 patents and is the author or co-author of more than 160 publications, of which more than 110 are in journals of international impact and indexed in the SCI (Index H 31). He has participated in the writing of 10 book chapters and has presented more than 150 papers at both national and international conferences, with 18 guest presentations. She has directed 7 doctoral theses and participates as a lecturer in the Master in Management and Innovation in the Food Industry of the University of Lleida and in the 'International Course of Technology and Post-harvest Fruit Management' of which she is director.
