Sobre l'activitat

The training of qualified auditors in the inspection of animal welfare according to the Welfare Quality protocols is an essential requirement to guarantee the quality of the certification.

IRTA periodically organizes auditor training and qualification courses in collaboration with the different experts from the Welfare Quality Network.

8.30 - 10.00h Introduction to Animal Welfare, Welfare Quality protocols and Welfair Certification.
10.00 - 10.15h Coffee break
10.15 - 13.00h Animal Welfare Measures on the farm.
13.00 - 14.00h Lunch
14.00 - 16.00h Animal Welfare Measures on the farm.
16.00 - 16.15h Coffee break
16.15 - 18.00h Animal Welfare Measures in the slaughterhouse.
Wednesday May 10
9.00 - 11.00h Group 1. Farm practice and legislation (location and time will be confirmed later).
11.30 - 13.30h Group 2. Farm practice and legislation (location and time will be confirmed later).
22.00 - 01.00h Group 1. Practice in slaughterhouse and legislation (30 min from Monells).
01.30 - 4.30h Group 2. Practice in slaughterhouse and legislation (30 min from Monells).
Thursday May 11
9.00 - 11.00h – Comments and doubts about the practice, farm repeatability exercises.
11.00 - 11.15 h – Coffee break
11.15 - 13.00h - Farm repeatability exercises.
13.00 - 14.00h – Lunch
14.00 - 17.00h – Slaughterhouse repeatability exercises.
Friday May 12
8.00 – 14.00h Practical exam on the farm (location and time will be confirmed later).
15.00 – 18.00h Theoretical exam and image repeatability exam.
Note: Note: the schedules may suffer slight variations depending on the needs of the students and the agenda.
