The Brown Marmorated Stink Bug, seven years in Catalonia. Situation and prospects

Sobre l'activitat

The marbled brown heron, Halyomorpha halys Stål has been in Catalonia for seven years, and since then, it has spread through the four Catalan provinces. During this time it has caused damage to some crops. Nevertheless, thanks to the increase in the knowledge of the biology of the plague in our conditions, it is possible to avoid serious damage.

In recent years, numerous studies have been carried out aimed at providing tools to control them in the different crops affected. On this day, the results of several trials will be presented and there will also be the participation of Italian specialists who will explain how biological control is working in Emilia Romagna.
