How to take water samples to analyze their quality in calf fattening farms

About the activity

Water is an essential and limited nutrient, which must be used responsibly. The GOTA Task Force (Guide to optimizing the use and treatment of drinking water in fattening calves) makes a number of recommendations, including emphasis on water disinfection treatments of beverage to improve its quality, which affects the growth of calves. This guide also includes a protocol for taking water samples from the farm.
This day aims to explain to farmers the importance of analyzing the quality of drinking water they offer their calves and how to properly sample drinking water on their farms.
