XVIII Rice Technical Conference 2025

About the activity

We welcome you to the technical day, a key space to address the challenges and opportunities of the rice sector. Organized by IRTA, and with the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) and the support of the Latin American Fund for Irrigated Rice (FLAR), we will explore innovative solutions to global challenges such as climate change , plant protection, optimization of fertilization and economic sustainability.

This meeting will also highlight the importance of future collaborations with Latin America, strengthening strategic alliances to guarantee a sustainable and competitive future for rice, an essential crop in our economy, food and ecosystem. We invite you to this day aimed at achieving a more efficient, sustainable and resilient rice production! The most relevant results of the trials of the 'RiceFertiSat' project, financed through Operation 16.01.01 of Cooperation for Innovation of the Rural Development Program of Catalonia 2014-2020, will be shown; projects 'BestRice', 'Ricres' and 'Ricescape', financed by the State Research Agency, Ministry of Science and Innovation and Climate Fund: AgriregenCat, AgriCarboniCat and Mitigation rice paddies. Projects financed by the Climate Funds of Catalonia.
