The aim of this training is to enable livestock or agricultural producers to have basic training on composting so that, in the more or less near future, they can consider carrying out this practice of valorisation of the by-products it generates in the farm itself. This training is carried out in the context of the Interreg Transgrowth Transgrowth - INICIO project led by the General Sub-Directorate for Agri-Food Industries and Quality.
IRTA organizes this course, and provides basic training in the contents related to the characterization, transformation through composting and characteristics of compost (Biosystems Sustainability Program) and in the agronomy of compost application (Fruit Growing Program).
The conference will be held at the Torre Marimon facilities. One of the activities will consist of a visit to two small and large-scale composting facilities; it will be done voluntarily and each participant will use their own means.
