PhD in Chemical Sciences and Professor of Food Technology at the University of Lleida. She has been the creator and head of the New Technologies for Food Processing research group since 1995. He has received various awards for his excellence in research such as ICREA Academy 2008 and Narcís Monturiol Medal 2018, in Catalonia, as well as his incorporation as an IFT Fellow of the US Institute of Food Technology in 2015 and a member of the Academy of the “International Union of Food Science and Technology” (IAFoST), in 2016, internationally.
She is President of the Spanish Society of Food Engineering (ISFE), Spanish Ambassador of the Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI). She currently holds the position of Vice-Rector for Transfer and Promotion of Innovation at the University of Lleida
