Francisca López Granados has a degree in CC. Biological (1985) and Dra. In Agronomy (1991) by the University of Cordova. He furthered his postdoctoral training at Rothmasted Experimental Station, Plant Protection Dept.-Weed Science Lab. (United Kingdom, 1994-1995). Since 1998 she has been a full-time researcher at the CSIC attached to the Institute of Sustainable Agriculture IAS-CSIC-Córdoba (Dep. Crop Protection) creating and directing the Imaping Group (Laboratory of Remote Sensing and Precision Agriculture, www.ias.csic .es / imaping /). He has been Chief Dpt. Crop Protection (2007-2012) and president of the Spanish Society of Malherbology (SEMh, 2010-2013). His main lines of research focus on developing innovative and efficient strategies that streamline phytosanitary applications through the automated analysis of images from different remote platforms (manned aircraft, high-resolution satellites and unmanned aerial vehicles). -UAV). His most recent work in herbaceous and woody crops have shown that the analysis of images-UAV makes possible the location of both the stands of weeds and areas without infestations which allows a reduction of up to 70% of applications herbicides. She is the author / co-author of 82 scientific articles in JCR journals (Weed Res., Weed Sci., Precision Agriculture, Computers & Electronics in Agriculture, European. J. Agronomy, PLoS ONE, Aplied Soft Computing, Expert Systems with Applications, Agronomy for Sustainable Development, Plant Methods, Frontiers in Plan Sci. Among others). He has directed 7 doctoral theses (3 of them awarded by different institutions) and was a member from 1995 to 2011 of the Editorial Board of the journal Weed Research (No. 1 in Malherbology, sponsored by Eur. Weed Science Society, EWRS). She has been a Principal Investigator of 12 Spanish Research Projects, 2 in the Autonomous Region (Junta de Andalucía and Xunta de Galicia) and 2 funded by the 7th Frame Program (7FP): European NMP Programs (http: // www. rhea-project .eu /) and PEOPLE (http://toasproject.wordpress.com). This project received the 2014 Pierre-Robert Precision Agriculture Award). In Technology Transfer actions, she has been a Researcher responsible for 15 Service Provisions / Technological Support Contracts with Administrations, Universities and Companies. He has given numerous lectures in various scientific and informative forums, and has collaborated in chapters of various books.
