Carlos L. Camino González is a researcher at the European Commission's Joint Research Center located in Italy since July 2019. PhD in Biology from the University of Córdoba (2019). His scientific activity focuses on the early detection of diseases in crops through the use of hyperspectral, thermal sensors and radiative transfer models. Participates in different European projects funded by the Horizon 2020 research and innovation program of the European Union. In particular, his line of research focuses on the early detection of Xylella fastidiosa in different crops through the use of remote sensing and machine learning through the estimation of parameters related to photosynthetic activity, nutritional status and water status of crops. Scientifically, Dr. Camino has more than 15 scientific articles published in SCI journals, as well as participating as a speaker in various national and international conferences.
