Dra. Begonya Marcos is an Agricultural Engineer from the University of Lleida (1998) and a Doctor from the University of Girona (2007). He began his research career with a doctorate in the IRTA Food Safety Program. He then works as a Research Officer in the Dublin Teagasc Meat Technology Department. Since 2010 she has been a researcher in the Food Industries Area of IRTA, working on issues related to food packaging, with a special focus on improving the shelf life and food safety through packaging. active packaging and the sustainability of packaging. He has participated in competitive national and European R&D projects, as well as in projects and contracts with companies in the sector.
