Antoni Dalmau Bueno. Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in 2000. Master in Animal Production in 2003. Doctor in 2005, Master in Meat Industries in 2006. Diploma from the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavior Medicine in the subspecialty of Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law in 2016.

Working at IRTA since 2005, currently in the Animal Welfare Program. Fields of work: stress, social behavior and adaptation to the environment; animal welfare on farm and pig slaughterhouse, birds, rabbits and ruminants; test of aversion, fear, pain, and abnormal behaviors in pigs and ruminants; use of gases to stun pigs and rabbits, religious slaughter of ruminants, birds and rabbits. Participation in a total of 36 projects (24 of which are European). 59 scientific articles in indexed journals, 3 books, 29 book chapters, 49 articles in popular journals and 108 conference presentations. More than 1600 hours of training for professionals such as veterinarians, ranchers, slaughterhouse staff and transporters in the field of animal welfare, adding participation as an expert in more than 25 organizing courses for the EU within the Better Training for Safer program Food.
