Sobre l'activitat

The training of qualified auditors in the inspection of animal welfare according to the Welfare Quality protocols is an essential requirement to guarantee the quality of the certification.

The IRTA periodically organizes training and qualification courses for auditors in collaboration with the different experts of the Welfare Quality Network.

8.45 – 9.00 a.m. – Reception and welcome to the course
9.00 - 10.30 a.m. − Introduction to Animal Welfare, Welfare Quality protocols and Welfair Certification
10.30 - 10.45 a.m. − Coffee break
10.45 - 13.00 − Indicators of animal welfare on the farm: behavior
1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. − Lunch
14.00 - 16.00 − Indicators of animal welfare on the farm: health
4:00 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. − Coffee break
16.15 - 18.00 − Indicators of animal welfare on the farm: facilities
Tuesday, september 13
9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. − Farm practice (location and time will be confirmed later)
Wednesday, september 14
9:00 - 11:00 a.m. − Comments and doubts about the practice, repeatability exercises
11:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. − Coffee break
11.15 - 13.00 − Repeatability exercises
1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. − Lunch
14.00 - 17.00 − Installation exercises and calculations
Thursday september 15
8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. − Practical exam on the farm (location and time will be confirmed later)
15.00 - 18.00 − Theoretical exam and image repeatability exam
Note: the schedules may undergo slight variations depending on the needs of the students and the temary.
