About the activity

The training of qualified auditors in the inspection of animal welfare according to the Welfare Quality protocols is an essential requirement to guarantee the quality of the certification.

The IRTA periodically organizes training and qualification courses for auditors in collaboration with the different experts from the Welfare Quality Network.

9:00-10:30 a.m. - Presentation of Welfare Quality protocols
11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. - WQ protocol measures
3:15-4:00 p.m. - Lunch
16.00- 17.00 - Order of measures in the sow and piglet farm
Wednesday, November 16
9:00-15:00 - Visit to the sow and piglet farm
3:15 p.m. -4:00 p.m. - Lunch
4:00-6:00 p.m. – Conclusions and doubts about the practice. repeatabilities
Thursday, November 17
9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. – Repeatability
3:15-4:00 p.m. - Lunch
4:00-6:00 p.m. – Repeatability. Conclusions and doubts
Friday November 18
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. - Theoretical exam and practical exam.
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. - Delivery of certificates and closing of the course.
Note: the schedules may undergo slight variations depending on the training needs of the students.
