About the activity

The training of qualified auditors in the inspection of animal welfare according to the Welfare Quality protocols is an indispensable requirement to guarantee the quality of the certification.

IRTA regularly organizes training and qualification courses for auditors in collaboration with the different experts of the Welfare Quality Network.

10.15 - 13.00h Animal Welfare Measures on the farm.

14.00 - 16:00 Animal Welfare Measures on the farm.
16.00 - 16:15 Coffee break
16.15 - 18.00h Animal Welfare Measures in slaughterhouse.
Wednesday, December 1st
9.00 - 11.00h Group 1. Practice on the farm and legislation (location and time will be confirmed come in).
11.30 - 13.30 Group 2. Farm practice and legislation (location and time will be confirmed come in).
22.00 - 01:00 Group 1. Slaughterhouse practice and legislation (30 min from Monells).
01.30 - 04:30 Group 2. Slaughterhouse practice and legislation (30 min from Monells).
Thursday, December 2nd
9.00am - 11.00am - Comments and doubts about the practice, farm repeatability exercises.
11.00 - 11: 15h - Coffee break
11.15 - 13.00h - Farm repeatability exercises.
13.00 - 14.00h - Lunch
14.00 - 17.00h - Slaughterhouse repeatability exercises.
Friday, December 3rd
08: 00-14: 00 Practical exam on the farm (location and time will be confirmed later).
15.00 - 18.00h Theoretical exam and repeatability exam by image.
