Training course in the protocols of the WQ of Laying Hens. 2023

Sobre l'activitat

The training of qualified auditors in the inspection of animal welfare according to the Welfare Quality protocols is an essential requirement to guarantee the quality of the certification.

IRTA regularly organizes auditor training and qualification courses in collaboration with the different experts from the Welfare Quality Network.

8.45 – 9:00h – Reception and welcome to the course
9.00 - 10.30h − Introduction to Animal Welfare, Welfare Quality protocols and Welfair Certification
10.30 - 10.45h − Coffee break
10.45 - 13.00h − Animal welfare indicators on the farm: behavior
13.00 - 14.00h − Lunch
14.00 - 16.00h − Animal welfare indicators on the farm: health
16.00 - 16.15h − Coffee break
16.15 - 18.00h − Animal welfare indicators on the farm: facilities
Tuesday May 23
8.30 - 14.00 h − Practice on the farm (location and time will be confirmed later)
Wednesday May 24
9.00 - 11.00h − Comments and doubts about the practice, repeatability exercises
11.00 - 11.15h − Coffee break
11.15 - 13.00h − Repeatability exercises
13.00 - 14.00h − Lunch
14.00 - 17.00h − Installation and calculation exercises
Thursday May 25
8.00 - 14.00h − Practical exam on the farm (location and time will be confirmed later)
15.00 - 18.00h − Theoretical exam and image repeatability exam
Note: the schedules may suffer slight variations depending on the needs of the students and the syllabus.
