Dr. Bernat Pérez de Val is degree in Biochemistry (2003) from the University of Barcelona and PhD in Animal Medicine and Health from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2013). Currently is a researcher in the IRTA Animal Health Program. Since 2006 develops its research at CReSA (from 2015 IRTA-CReSA) focused on tuberculosis control. He has participated in several competitive projects state and European research as well as in research contracts with companies from the biomedical sector or with other research institutes. He has published several scientific articles in SCI-indexed journals, book chapters, and articles of dissemination. He has also made several communications at conferences scientists. He has participated in and organized continuing education courses and transfer events aimed at industry professionals agri-food and health. Since 2006 he has been involved in the commissions of DARP services to IRTA-CReSA in research tasks, technical advice and scientific, design and development of studies and analysis of outbreaks of tuberculosis in domestic ruminants or wildlife. He has participated in the development and monitoring of health programs such as the eradication program of bovine tuberculosis in Catalonia (since 2006), the qualification plan for goat herds against tuberculosis (since 2012) and the surveillance plan health of the wildlife of Catalonia (since 2012).
