Dra. Gemma Reig: Agricultural Engineer and Doctor of Agricultural Engineering (2013) from the University of Lleida. He has worked as a research support technician in the Pomology department of the Aula Dei Experimental Station - CSIC for two different periods (1 October 2013 - 31 March 2015 and 1 April 2017 - 27 May 2018). Between these two periods, he has completed a 2-year postdoctoral stay (April 1, 2015 - March 31, 2017) at the Hudson Valley Research Laboratory - Cornell University (Highland, New York), Department of Fruit Growing, where his research was focused. mainly in rootstocks, training systems, physiopathies (sunburn and bitter pit), varieties and quality of the fruit of the apple crop. Since June 2018 he has been working as a support technician in the IRTA peach, apple and pear improvement program, and is currently also responsible for the collection of commercial varieties of peach of the IRTA, principal investigator of two operational groups and participates in a European PRIMA project. It has 29 scientific articles indexed in journals listed in the Science Citation Index (SCI), of which 7 are horticulturae acts, and 16 technical articles.
