Héctor Nieto is hired Torres Quevedo in COMPLUTIG, a technology-based company of the University of Alcalá. Héctor has more than 10 years of experience in research related to remote sensing, with more than 40 scientific publications and professional experience in international centers such as the University of Copenhagen, the Maison de la Télédétection in Montpellier or the Department of Agriculture of the United States . His area of interest is the use of remote sensing to track essential vegetation variables, including evapotranspiration and plant water stress. In addition, it develops open source tools for the processing of satellite and drone images, as well as the implementation of physical models in agriculture.
