We present this workshop where the latest advances in soil microbiology and its application to regenerative agriculture will be discussed. Special emphasis will be placed on the role of microorganisms in improving soil health and enhancing the sustainability of agricultural practices.
Throughout the day, participants will explore scientific innovations that offer significant opportunities for the Mediterranean agricultural sector, with a focus on plant-microorganism interactions and soil management practices that contribute to more resilient agriculture.
This activity is organized within the framework of two major projects: SIRAM (Soil Restoration for Agriculture in the Mediterranean), which aims to develop innovative solutions for restoring and maintaining soil health in Mediterranean farming systems, and AgriRegenCat, a project dedicated to promoting regenerative agricultural practices in Catalonia. Both initiatives focus on enhancing soil health, fostering sustainable agriculture, and addressing key challenges faced by farmers in the region.
