Dra. Gemma Echeverria: Engineer \nagronomist (specialty: Phytotechnics) from the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya \nand Doctor of Agricultural Engineering from the University of Lleida. Researcher in high school \nof agri-food research and technology (IRTA) in Lleida since 1999 where \ndevelops her activity as a researcher in the Postharvest program of \nfruits and vegetables. His research is focused on determining \nsensory and instrumental quality in pre- and post-harvest of fruits and \nvegetables. For the past 15 years, he has focused his research on understanding \nof the trend and preference of fruit consumers, especially in apple \nand peach \/ nectarine. He has trained various sensory panels that have been used \nto characterize the organoleptic profiles of apple, pear, peach \/ nectarine varieties, \noranges, mandarins and tomatoes subjected to different technologies \nconservation, thus acting as panel manager. He also has experience in assessment \nof taste by monitoring and analyzing the compounds that characterize them \nthe taste and aroma of the different species mentioned. It has 98 articles \nscientists of which 58 are indexed in journals listed in the Science \nCitatio Index (SCI), 37 articles are horticultural acts and 3 are chapters of \nbook.
