He is an agricultural engineer and holds a doctorate in agricultural economics. Full professor (accredited) of the Department of Agri-Food Engineering and Biotechnology of the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya. Deputy Director of Economics and Infrastructures of the School of Biosystems and Agri-Food Engineering of Barcelona at the UPC-Barcelona Technical and Scientific Coordinator of CREDA. His teaching activities are related to the agricultural markets and food marketing, agro-industry and environmental economics with experience in the supervision of various doctoral theses. His main lines of research dealt with the agri-food chain and consumer behavior, the adoption of innovation at the agricultural level and methods of economic valuation. He has collaborated and directed several competitive and multidisciplinary research projects both nationally and internationally.
