The present day pretends to give to know and put in value the genotypes of C. sativa fruit producers that exist in the Montseny. The advances of the project 'Selection of autochthonous material of the species Castanea sativa for production of fruit in the Natural Park and Reserve of the Biosphere of the Montseny' that the IRTA has developed with close collaboration of the DiBa allows to offer to owners and nurseries selected material producing quality chestnuts with the own identity of the area. A large part of the day will take place in the field and will visit the first plantations made with pre-selected materials and will talk about the main aspects of management to consider in the conditions of Montseny: plantation design and control of canker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
