About the activity

The training of qualified auditors in the inspection of animal welfare according to the Welfare Quality protocols is an essential requirement to guarantee the quality of the certification.

IRTA regularly organizes auditor training and qualification courses in collaboration with the different experts from the Welfare Quality Network.

12.45h - 14.00h - Lunch 14.00-15.30h - Indicators of animal welfare in slaughterhouse
15.30-15.45h - Coffee break
15.45-17.00h - Indicators of animal welfare in slaughterhouse and combination of measures
Wednesday 6th October
8:00 a.m.-1: 00 p.m. - Slaughterhouse practice (30 minutes from Monells)
1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. - Lunch
2.30pm - 5.30pm - Comments and doubts about the practice, Repeatabilities
Thursday October 7
8.30-10.45h - Repeatabilities
10.45-11.00h - Coffee break
11.00-12.00h - Conclusions and doubts
12.00-14.00h - Exam
14.00-14.15h - Delivery of certificates and closing of the course
